Get Started

If you’re wondering how to get started in the adult film industry as an amateur male model with no experience and have general questions, please read this ENTIRE SECTION. We will know if you didn’t read it all.

  1. The adult film industry is a business and should be treated as such.
    • You might be asking yourself, “what does that mean?” It means that, there are teams of people who are involved in getting you ready for your on-screen debut and you should be considerate towards the time and effort they put into getting you started. If you have a telephone appointment scheduled, be sure to be available for the call and be in an environment where you can speak freely. Nothing is more irritating than someone whispering when asked a question. If you have a flight booked for filming, GET ON YOUR PLANE! If you have no intentions on getting on your flight, let someone know 48hours ahead of time so they can recoup losses on the flight. Also, someone is actually sent to retrieve you from your landing airport, how inconsiderate is it to have someone wait and you have no intention of showing up?
    • When you apply for a job at financial institution, you will no doubt display a great deal of professionalism and you will be physically suitable when you arrive for the interview and your resume will no doubt be flawless. When you apply to become a model in the adult film industry your submission photos are your application/resume so they should be flawless. Do not submit small or blurry photos. Do not submit photos that don’t show your face. Studios and recruiters have no idea whose face has been cut out of the photo so be sure to include your face in all photos. Do not submit an application without photos. Studios and recruiters can receive up to 100 applications per day and they will not waste time trying to track down someone who “wants to be a model” that wasn’t smart enough to submit photos of themselves, those applications are immediately deleted.
    • When a studio or recruiter requests something from you, GET IT DONE ASAP. Guys who are serious about entering into the industry will literally have completed photos submitted within 24hours. If you diddle daddle around the process, recruiters and studios will become skeptical about how serious you are about these opportunities and will shy away from you.
    • Do not presume to tell a studio or recruiter how you want things done. As previously stated, there are literally hundreds if not thousands of willing candidates who do not share your demands and they are the ones who will be pursued. When you make demands before you have even completed your first shoot, you are showing the industry how difficult it is to work with you and you will be passed up.
    • Respond to telephone calls, emails and text messages immediately. When you delay your responses, you just lost your slot. No one in this industry is banking on you responding and the next candidate will immediately be contacted.
  2. How do I get started?
    • You should first be absolutely sure that you are ready to be an adult film model. If you have aspirations of becoming a politician or lawyer or doctor in the future, this may not be the career for you if you are unable to overcome the unfortunate stigma that the industry has. Do not waste a studio or recruiters time when you are not sure that you are ready for these awesome opportunities.
    • Have access to a decent camera. There is a generalization that because this is “just porn” that everyone can do it. YOU COULDN’T BE MORE WRONG. This is in fact, another form of modeling. It is definitely modeling of an adult nature but nonetheless modeling. Just think, when you are watching a “porn flick” you want the persons in the film to be attractive and sometimes more attractive than anyone you would EVER have a chance of scoring a date with. We have the same expectations. If you think of yourself as “ok” or just “handsome”, then you probably don’t want to apply. Our models are ABOVE average and have great physiques and so should you. So, you should be able to produce decent photos that will show off that wonderful body that you have worked so hard for. Camera phone and webcam photos are under no circumstance accepted, your submission photos should be ready and taken with a digital camera.
  3. Do not contact a studio or recruiter if you cannot produce quality images within a reasonable amount of time (7days).
    • When you complete an application for modeling (especially ours) you should already have decent photos taken or be able to produce decent photos within 7days. This again is an indication about how serious you are about becoming a star. Those who are serious, have no problems producing required photos within 24hours, those who are not serious, will diddle daddle. Also, do not submit on your application photos older than 30days, no matter what you think, you definitely look a little more different than you did last year or 5 years ago.
  4. Why is there a photo of a guy on your website?
    • 3Sixty is a Male Model Scouting agency so it is only natural that we would like to show off our male talent. We are currently only working with studios that film gay or gay4pay scenes. These scenes include: Solo Masturbation scenes, Oral Reciprocation (receiving oral from a male model), Mutual Jerk Off Scenes, Top & Bottom scenes. There is a large percentage of male models in gay film work that are not gay, so don’t let the photo deter you from applying!
  5. Do I have to be gay?
    • Absolutely not! The fact of the matter is, about 80% of the models that we work with are heterosexual. The straight film market is often very grim and limited for male models just because of the nature of straight film; it’s geared towards straight men, so the model emphasis is more focused on females. We do not work with studios that offer work for the heterosexual male who is not interested in “Gay4Pay”. “Gay4Pay” is a phrase used to describe straight male models who enter into the gay film industry simply because there’s a lot of money to be made.
  6. Is there only gay work available?
    • Yes. Due to the limited amount of acceptances and low pay for straight film work, 3Sixty is currently only working with studios that offer gay or gay4pay scenes.
  7. What do I have to do to get started?
    • The simple truth is that we do most of the work in the beginning, the only thing that you are required to do is submit to us a decent amount of self photographs that show off your gorgeous face and sexy body and leave the rest to us!
  8. Where is 3Sixty located?
    • 3Sixty is based out of Baltimore, MD but we have recruiters in Illinois & Texas.
  9. Where are the studios located?
    • Most of our studio partners are located in California but we also have partners in Florida.
  10. Do I have to pay for travel
    • Absolutely not. All of our studio partners pay for your round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations and meal reimbursement. You will never be asked to put out money for any travel.
  11. Does 3Sixty charge agent fees?
    • Again, absolutely not. We feel that if a model is performing under the sometimes intense pressure of filming, they deserve 100% of the money they make for that hard work. 3Sixty will never request any percentage of a models pay.
  12. How much can I expect to make?
    • Please visit our casting page for current scene rates.
  13. How often can I expect work from a studio?
    • That depends on you. Continued work is never promised to a model it is based on how well a model performs. If you have no trouble performing while being filmed, you have a great personality and if you’ve left the studio with a great impression of you, you can probably expect to return on a regular basis.
  14. If I’ve done adult film before, can I work with your studios?
    • This is handled on a case by case basis. We work with some studios that will not accept any models with previous adult film experience. If you’ve only done 1 film, talk to us and we will see what we can work out for you.
  15. Should I shave my pubic hair?
    • NO! Contrary to popular belief, the shaved look is not in. Our studio partners prefer their models to have a nice natural look, if there is anything they want changed, they will not hesitate to say so.
  16. I have tattoos, is that a problem?
    • While our studio partners prefer models with no tattoos, 1 or 2 small strategically placed tattoos will not result in an automatic denial. If you have more than 3 big tattoos and/or “sleeves”, you can almost expect not to receive good paying work.
  17. Can I cover my face or have it blurred out?
    • Absolutely not. Our studio partners are some of the best paying studios in the online industry and they are paying for all of you, so having your face blurred or covered is not an option.
